The Private Ear Sessions
The band recorded their first full album in June of 2024 at Private Ear Recording Studio in Winnipeg, Canada.
Covers to Originals, Our Story
Our band came together as a bunch of guys who had played various types of music with different musical backgrounds. We learned each others's music and started playing some live shows, all covers. We were just getting pretty good and ready to play some bigger venues when the pandemic hit. Stalled and looking for an outlet, at some point we started collaborating on originals!
Where are we going?
We are continuing to write new material. We recorded in June of 2024 with Private Ear Studios. We are itching to share some of these new tunes, cause we think they are really good and you will hear us releasing 6 in early 2025 and the entire album in September 2025. Hopefully this summer we will see you all at some point in a crowd, we will be on stage at a few 2025 festivals. Look to this site and our social media for updates...we are coming at ya! Wayne was a workhorse in the early years, playing for several years doing cover gigs in bars and at various venues. His vocal additions, particularly on covers of the Tragically Hip were legendary.

John was the very first drummer for the band. John contributed vocals and a solid rhythm backline for early days of the band. John is also the guy responsible for coming up with the iconic name: CAR287 !! You can ask him the story!

Jeff stepped in for Wayne just as the band started it's voyage into writing original tunes. His rhythms created a classic sound on early tunes like Rescue me and In the Blue Hour. He was a huge part of the early successes of this band.

Derek played with CAR287 for several years, leaving in 2024 just after the Private Ear Sessions. He was instrumental in helping to shape the original music, adding amazing components to songs and memorable backing vocals. His keyboard work can be heard on the first release ep and on Looking Through the Lens.
